EVENT RULES

THE DRIVE & PACE you must stick to your own pace. If you’re not able or comfortable or struggling keeping up with the cars in front, please indicate and allow those behind pass when safe to do so.

If you prefer a more sedate pace position yourself at the back of the pack from the start

SPEED LIMITS should be obeyed especially in built up areas. Please remember anyone can have a dash cam or a mobile phone and we do not want to end up on social media for the wrong reasons. If you have a noisy exhaust, please be respectful in the urban areas especially near people’s properties.

WHATSAPP we set up a Whatsapp group for each and every event, please join using the link as soon as you book and event, not on the morning as it allows us to communicate with you easily, if you have trouble doing so please let us know. The group is usually shut after the event.

LIVE LOCATION

Please share your live location on the WhatsApp group on the morning for the full 8 hours (you can turn it off once we arrive at the end point). This is done by pressing the plus sign (apple) or paperclip (android) where you normally type in WhatsApp and going to location, share live location, 8 hours if you get lost or there is a problem we are able to see where you are.

RADIO’s

We Now use the Mitex General radios available form many places, we usually use channel 2. Do not by the cheap eabay copies that claim to be just as good, experience tells us the range on them is really not good

MAPS

Please use the route shared on google maps, don’t just rely on the car in front. When you reach a way point you need to press continue. We will share the route in this group on the morning in case last minute changes need to be made. Make sure you have the means to follow the routes hands free in your vehicles

If not starting from the beginning and meeting us part way on the route, you will need to remove the way points before you on the route and add a new start point where you are starting from.

DO NOT PUBLISH OUR ROUTES ELSEWHERE or share with non members.

We do try, but It is often impossible to keep together for various reason especially if we are a large group, this is why you need to use the route and radios. If all goes wrong and you get lost, head to the finish point

If you have a cabriolet, the weather is dry and above 3 degrees Celsius your roof should be down,

Most of all have fun. It’s what the club is all about.
